Nothing important essay

The word nothing was pronounced as noting in Elizabethan times, and it seems reasonable to presume that the pun was intended by Shakespeare to signal the importance of observation, spying and eavesdropping in the play. As a plot device, these occurrences propel the action and create humour and tension.

The aim of this essay is to respond to Paul Robert’s essay “How to say nothing in 500 words” by analyzing the points that he put across when it comes to communication. The important part of the essay is the fact that Paul gives instructions together with good examples to college students on how they should write good essays.

We can try to define it by saying that we can say nothing about it. At least that avoids it being concretely related to the word “undefined,” which is more about not being able to set limits on something or set a meaning to something. In the case of “nothing,” we cannot say anything about it.

Though Oxford dictionaries defines “nothing” as “1. not anything; no single thing” and “2. something that is not at all important or interesting” this is still saying something about it ( Oxford Learner’s Dictionaries ). But I guess you might as well say “nothing” is something that cannot be discussed.
