Gcse art coursework evaluation

Artists and designers often record ideas they have for artworks and designs. They will note down observations as they go so they can analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of the work produced

The exam is 10 hours long (2 days) and during this time you must complete your final piece, in ‘controlled conditions’. The question paper consists of approximately 7 ‘questions’, each of which are themed starting points for a project. Every question will contain named artists to help you get started.

Recording this evaluation ensures that the creative process is communicated clearly. Make sure you use appropriate art and design vocabulary in your evaluation. This will help demonstrate your knowledge and understanding.
